So tonight is the eve of the infamous Philadelphia Wing Bowl. An event created to glorify the growing obesity problem of our nation. An even intended to determine who can eat the most chicken wings. An event I will not be attending.
I don't understand the hype that surrounds this event. Are people really that excited about an eating contest, or are they just saying what everyone else is saying to make themselves feel accepted in certain company? I hear people say things like "this is what Philly is all about". Oh really? Philly is all about a bunch of morbidly obese men eating as many chicken wings as they can in a given time period. Then people wonder why citizens of Philadelphia are viewed as fat slobs.
Simply put, this event is a disgrace. An arena full of drunken idiots cheering on everything that is wrong with this country. As if it actually takes natural talent and hard work to eat a lot and be a fat slob. Ladies and gentleman, tomorrow morning Philadelphia will be the idiot capital of the world.
